We loved the position of the property, with a few shops and beach bar in Ealing distance and it’s also perfectly located to have the holiday by the sea vibe but dip in and out of Ortigia for lunches and day trips.
Stunning place to wander around and we recommend a boat tour.

The beach near by is small and rocky but families love it and it’s fair to find a sandy pocket to make your own.

The beach bar above the beach (Samoa) included is as if we were family. So lovely to feel this when we didn’t know our surroundings.

The property is very cool and styled well. I’d maybe suggest a larger corner sofa area maybe for those chill out moments away from the pool but it’s not a deal breaker.

The kitchen has some coffee and jams, biscuits and small gifts (nice touch) and was smart and felt new.

The pool is fantastic and gently heated . Our 3 year old loved splashing around on the pink flamingo in there all day. It was so much fun.

We got the impression that Giuseppe is making this his ongoing improvement project, you can see a professional approach straight away.

Really Excellent. The appartment was clean and tidy. The size and setup of all the rooms was great. The terrace was excellent. Giuseppe has a chalk board on the wall... read more in the appartment with recommendations for beaches, restaurants and alike. Herbs and spices left by the previous guests had been left tidily in the kitchen for us to use - this was very much appreciated. The appartment had everything we needed.

Location is great. In and amongst a nice part of town with shops and restaurants, we felt safe throughout our stay. From the terrace you can hear the bustle of the streets below, but this was not unpleasant. It is a short walk (<10min) to the island of Ortigia, and similarly within walking distance to the archaeological site. We drove in and out of Syracuse a few times during our stay, and though (Hidden by Airbnb) maps took us a diferent route everytime, it's actually pretty painless, and so probably fair to describe as well located for driving in and out of the city. The coach and train station are well within walking distance <5min. Driving in Sicily requires a bit of courage and the busy one way system around the appartment requires some care and patients to navigate when looking for a space, but we managed to find one within 2min or so each time.

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Syracuse. I will certainly recommend this to friends and family.

Lovely flat in a great location for exploring Ortigia Island

Noi in sette... read more giorni con due bambini siamo riusciti a visitare Ragusa, Modica, Siracusa, Noto, Marzamemi e Taormina e in più la splendida oasi di Vendicari (Calamosche e tonnara), le spiagge più note (Arenella, Fontane Bianche, San Lorenzo), fino giù all'ultima spiaggia d'Italia, quella di Portopalo di Capo Passerò (Carratois).
Passando all'abitazione, noi l'abbiamo trovata perfetta per le esigenze di quattro persone: due stanze da letto ampie, un bagno, una sala grande, una cucina abitabile ma soprattutto un giardino stupendo e un patio con piscina godibilissima. Mentre si prepara la cena la piscina per i bambini è impagabile.
Cosa fondamentale: abbiamo trovato la casa estremamente pulita.
I comfort non mancano: aria condizionata in tutte le stanze, lavatrice, detersivi, teli per il mare, accessori per l'igiene personale.
Giuseppe, il proprietario, è stato gentilissimo: il giorno dell'arrivo ci ha aspettato a casa con granita alla
mandorla e brioches; è venuto a metà settimana a pulire la piscina e a fare il dosaggio del cloro e poi è tornato la mattina della partenza, con sua mamma, gentilissima, portandoci ancora granita e il pranzo per il viaggio.
Mi sa proprio che ci torneremo! È stata una vacanza perfetta anche grazie a questa villa.

  Giuseppe's place is brilliantly located close to Siracusa and nearby beaches, and there is a bakery a minute's walk away and restaurant (though this wasn't open in April... read more when we visited). The pool is great for our kids, 3 and 7, and had the weather been better we would have spent all our time there and at the beach. As is was rain dominated and we discovered Ortigia, the Archaelogical Park and nearby Noto.

The... read more villa is styled and equipped to a high standard. The outdoor space is wonderful for sunbathing, taking a dip, cooking, relaxing in the sun or the dappled shade. The villa is comfortable - great coffee making facilities, a good kitchen, comfy seating and comfy beds. It's an easy space for a holiday, nothing fell short of our expectations. Aranella itself is a little underwhelming, although we had great pizza at the nearby beach bar. Noto & Syracusa are both delightful and the beach near the nature reserve on the coast near Noto (Spiaggia Marianelli) was a magical place we will never forget.

  Giuseppe ci ha dato un benvenuto caloroso offrendoci del vino locale e dei dolci tipici del posto. Ci ha consigliato dove andare a cenare (ed é stato veramente tutto eccezionale... read more ) e cosa visitare in breve tempo. La villa è a dir poco stupenda; tutti gli arredi sono nuovi e molto curati nei dettagli, e poi si trova di tutto, sia in cucina ma anche nelle altre stanze. Gli esterni sono stati creati dal proprietario e devo dire con molto gusto, la piscina ed il contorno sono deliziosi e la zona relax con dei bei sofà in legno riciclato é di un rilassante unico. Zona molto tranquilla a due passi dal mare. Consiglio vivamente di trascorrere una vacanza presso la villa di giuseppe
